    Birth Rebel – Terms of Service

    Effective date: 20 January 2026

    Welcome to Birth Rebel Ltd ("Birth Rebel", "we", "us", "our"). We operate a marketplace that connects parents ("Parents") with independent, non-medical maternity and postnatal caregivers ("Caregivers").

    By using our website or platform (the "Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

    1. What Birth Rebel Is (and Is Not)

    Birth Rebel provides a technology platform that facilitates introductions, bookings, communication, and payments between Parents and Caregivers.

    We are:

    • A neutral marketplace
    • A facilitator of bookings and payments

    We are not:

    • A care provider
    • A medical or clinical service
    • A party to any agreement between a Parent and a Caregiver

    Any contract for services is between the Parent and the Caregiver only. Birth Rebel is not responsible for the delivery, quality, safety, or outcomes of any services.

    2. Eligibility

    You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract to use the Platform.

    3. Accounts

    You must provide accurate, complete information when creating an account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for all activity on your account.

    We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or create legal or safety risks.

    4. Caregivers Are Independent Contractors

    Caregivers on the Platform are independent professionals. They are not employees, agents, or representatives of Birth Rebel.

    We do not supervise, direct, or control how Caregivers provide their services.

    5. Bookings, Communication & Payments

    All bookings, communication, and payments must take place through the Platform.

    You may not:

    • Arrange services off-platform
    • Pay or accept payment off-platform
    • Move communication off-platform

    This is for safety, record-keeping, transparency, and dispute resolution.

    6. Cancellations & Refunds (Platform Policy)

    This policy aligns with the Parent–Caregiver service agreement.

    Parent cancellations

    • More than 24 hours' notice: full refund
    • Less than 24 hours' notice or no-show: no refund

    Caregiver cancellations

    • If a Caregiver cancels, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule

    All refunds are processed via the Platform.

    7. Non-Circumvention

    If you are introduced through Birth Rebel, you may not engage each other for similar services outside the Platform for 12 months after your last booking.

    This includes:

    • Off-platform bookings
    • Off-platform payments
    • Private arrangements

    Breaching this is a material breach of these Terms and may result in account termination. Birth Rebel reserves the right to enforce this provision.

    8. Safety & Medical Disclaimer

    Birth Rebel does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

    Caregivers provide non-medical support unless explicitly stated otherwise. You should always seek advice from qualified healthcare professionals for medical concerns.

    Birth Rebel is not an emergency service. If you need urgent help, contact emergency services or your healthcare provider.

    9. Platform Conduct

    You agree not to:

    • Harass, abuse, or harm others
    • Post unlawful, misleading, or harmful content
    • Misrepresent yourself
    • Attempt to bypass the Platform

    We may remove content or suspend accounts to protect safety and integrity.

    10. Disclaimer of Warranty & Limitation of Liability

    Birth Rebel provides a technology platform only. We do not provide care, medical services, or professional advice, and we are not a party to any agreement between Parents and Caregivers.

    To the fullest extent permitted by law, Birth Rebel is not responsible or liable for the actions, omissions, advice, services, or conduct of any user, including any Caregiver or Parent.

    The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, availability, accuracy, or non-infringement.

    To the fullest extent permitted by law, Birth Rebel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Platform or any services arranged through it.

    Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded under UK law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

    11. Termination

    You may stop using the Platform at any time.

    We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, misuse the Platform, or create safety or legal risks.

    12. Disputes

    Disputes between Parents and Caregivers should be resolved between them directly.

    We may, but are not required to, assist with mediation.

    These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes involving Birth Rebel will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

    13. Changes

    We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify users.
